Picatinny rails for Bergara models

(18 products)

This collection contains rails for Bergara rifles. JK-N makes them from steel in the Czech Republic and Contessa makes them from steel in Italy.

Bergara B14

The B14 has separate rails for Short Action and Long Action variants. Check the action length of your rifle before you order. For each action length there are:

  • flat Picatinny rails from JK-N and Contessa,
  • 20 MOA Picatinny rails from JK-N and Contessa,
  • light weight Picatinny rails from JK-N, flat or 20 MOA,
  • Contessa Picatinny rails with an extension for a thermal or night vision device,
  • JK-N 17 mm dovetail rails.

Bergara B13

JK-N makes a Picatinny rail and a 17 mm dovetail rail for the B13.

MOA angle

A rail marked 15, 20, 25 or 35 MOA is angled forward. The angle adds elevation, so you can zero at long distance without running out of scope adjustment. A rail without MOA in the title is flat (0 MOA), the standard choice for normal distances.

Short Action or Long Action

The B14 is made with two action lengths. The action length depends on the caliber of the rifle. A rail for one length does not fit the other, because the screw holes on the receiver are spaced differently. Check the caliber or the specifications of your rifle before you order. The JK-N and Contessa rails are both made of steel.

Light weight rails

JK-N also makes light weight versions of its B14 rails, flat or with 20 MOA. They are still made of steel, but with less material.

20 MOA and your scope

A 20 MOA rail tilts the scope forward. At a short zero distance, the scope must compensate for this tilt with its elevation turret. Check that your scope has enough elevation adjustment to zero at your usual distance with a 20 MOA rail.

Mounting the rail

Clean and degrease the screw holes and the screws. Put threadlocker on the screws, tighten them evenly and follow the torque given by the maker of the rail. Then mount the rings and the scope. After the first shots, check that the screws are still tight.

Picatinny or 17 mm dovetail

A Picatinny rail takes Picatinny rings and mounts. A 17 mm dovetail rail takes rings made for a 17 mm dovetail.

Extension for thermal or night vision

The extension gives space to mount a thermal or night vision device in front of the scope.

A Picatinny rail is a scope base screwed to the receiver. It takes Picatinny scope rings, scope mounts and other optics. Most Weaver rings fit it too. For rings, see Scope rings for Picatinny base. For all rails, see Picatinny rails.

Frequently asked questions

Can I install the rail on my Bergara myself?

Yes, no gunsmith is needed. Clean the receiver and the screws, put a drop of threadlocker on each screw and tighten them evenly to the torque given by the maker.

Which scope rings fit the rail?

Any Picatinny rings, and most Weaver rings. Choose the ring diameter by the main tube of your scope. See Scope rings for Picatinny base.

Which rail fits my B14?

It depends on the action length. Find out if your rifle is a Short Action or a Long Action, then take a rail with the same name.

Do I need a 20 MOA rail?

Only for long distances. For normal hunting distances, a flat rail is the usual choice.
