Optics ready plates for HK models

This collection contains optic plates for the HK VP9 OR and SFP9 OR. Both pistols share one factory optic cut, so the same plates fit both. The plate goes into the optic cut and connects it to the footprint of your red dot. You also find a red dot that fits the cut directly.

Footprints

For the VP9 OR and SFP9 OR, plates exist for these footprints:

• Single footprints: Trijicon RMR, Shield RMSc, Leupold DPP, Docter and Holosun 509T.
• Toni System type A: Shield RMSc, Leupold DPP and Docter.
• Toni System type B: Trijicon RMR and C-More RTS.
• EGW type S: Shield RMSc and Leupold DPP.

The type letters differ between makers. Always read the footprint list in the brackets.

Which red dot for which footprint

Which red dots go on which footprint, with examples from our range:

• Trijicon RMR: for example the Holosun 407C, 507C and 508T, Olight Osight and Vector Optics Frenzy-X. See Red dots with Trijicon RMR footprint.
• Shield RMSc: Shield red dots, the Holosun EPS Core, Olight Osight K, S and SE and Vector Optics Frenzy-S. See Red dots with Shield RMSc footprint.
• Leupold DPP: for example the Holosun SCS 320, Olight Osight SE DPP and Vortex Defender ST and XL. See Red dots with Leupold DPP footprint.
• Docter: also called Vortex Venom or Noblex, for example the Vector Optics Frenzy 1x17x24 and Frenzy-X 1x20x28. See Red dots with Docter footprint.

• Holosun 509T: the enclosed Holosun 509T.

One footprint or several

The Toni System type A plate takes three footprints and type B two. They are useful if you may change your red dot later. A plate for one footprint, for example from 2BME or EGW, fits only that footprint.

Makers

2BME in Poland machines most plates for the VP9 and SFP9 from aircraft aluminium. EGW in the USA, Toni System in Italy and Shield Sights in the United Kingdom also make plates in aluminium.

Direct-fit red dot

The Holosun SCS VP9 fits the VP9 OR and SFP9 OR cut directly, without a plate. It has a green 2 MOA dot with a 32 MOA circle and a solar charging system.

Co-witness

With a red dot on the plate, the factory sights are usually hidden below the window. Co-witness sights for the VP9 OR and SFP9 OR are tall enough to be seen through the red dot. See Sights for HK models.

Installation

Remove the factory cover plate from the optic cut. Screw the optic plate into its place, then screw the red dot onto the plate. No milling is needed and you can do it yourself. Threadlocker on the screws is recommended.

Frequently asked questions

Can I install an optic plate on my VP9 OR or SFP9 OR at home?

Yes. You need no gunsmith and no milling.

1. Remove the cover plate from the optic cut.
2. Screw the optic plate into the cut.
3. Screw the red dot onto the plate.

Put a drop of threadlocker on every screw.

Which red dots will fit my VP9 OR and SFP9 OR?

It depends on the plate you choose. Every plate takes one footprint or a group of footprints. For VP9 OR and SFP9 OR pistols we have plates for the Trijicon RMR, Shield RMSc, Leupold DPP, Docter, C-More RTS and Holosun 509T footprints.

Choose your red dot first and find its footprint in the specifications. Then take the plate with the same footprint.

Do VP9 OR plates fit my SFP9 OR?

Yes. Both pistols have the same optic cut and take the same plates.

Do I need a plate for the Holosun SCS VP9?

No. The SCS VP9 goes straight into the optic cut.
