Sights for Tanfoglio models

This collection contains adjustable rear sights for Tanfoglio pistols. They are made by LPA in Italy from steel. One rear sight from Eemann Tech is also listed. You keep the factory front sight and set windage and elevation with screws.

Why a rear sight only

All Tanfoglio sights in this collection are adjustable rear sights. Tanfoglio pistols are often used in sport shooting. An adjustable rear sight lets you set the zero for your load with screws, while the factory front sight stays on the pistol. If the new rear sight is higher or lower than the factory one, you correct the point of impact with the elevation screw.

The rear sight with 3 height points for the Match, Stock and Custom lets you switch between three heights without tools.

Measure the dovetail

The rear sights for different Tanfoglio models are not the same. The rear sight for the Limited is made for a 9.5 mm dovetail. Measure the width of your rear sight dovetail with a caliper, or compare your pistol with the models in the title, before you order.

Tanfoglio, EAA Witness and IWI Jericho

The EAA Witness pistols are made by Tanfoglio, so many Tanfoglio rear sights fit them too. The IWI Jericho shares the same rear sights. The title of each sight lists all models it fits. The rear sight for the Match, Stock and Custom also fits many other Tanfoglio models.

How to zero an adjustable rear sight

Shoot a group at a fixed distance. Then move the rear sight in the direction you want the point of impact to move: to the right to move hits to the right, up to move hits up. Turn the screw a few clicks at a time and shoot again.

Sight picture

The end of each title names the sight picture. Fiber optic is bright in daylight. Tritium glows in the dark. Luminescent dots charge in light and glow for a while. White dots and white lines give contrast without glowing. Blank sights have a plain grooved surface.

Installation

Most sights sit in a dovetail. You drift the old sight out and the new one in with a sight pusher or a punch. See Installation tools.
