Optics ready plates for Beretta models

(20 products)

This collection contains optic plates, also called optics ready plates, for Beretta pistols with a factory optic cut. Beretta calls these models Optics Ready or RDO. Plates are available for the 92X family and the M9A4. Further plates fit the APX A1, APX RDO, 94X Performance and 80X Cheetah. The plate goes into the optic cut and connects it to the footprint of your red dot.

Which plate fits which Beretta

Beretta uses different optic cuts on different model lines. A plate fits only the line named in its title:

A plate for the 92X family does not fit the APX, and the other way round. Each plate title lists the models it fits in brackets, for example [92X, 92XI, 92 GTS, 92X RDO, M9A4].

Footprints for the 92X family and M9A4

For the 92X, 92XI, 92 GTS, 92X RDO and M9A4, you can choose from these footprints:

  • Factory Beretta plates: Trijicon RMR, Leupold DPP, Docter, C-More RTS and Aimpoint Acro.
  • Toni System type A: Shield RMSc, Leupold DPP and Docter.
  • Toni System type B: Trijicon RMR and C-More RTS.

Footprints for the APX A1 and APX RDO

  • Factory Beretta plates: Trijicon RMR, Leupold DPP, Docter, C-More RTS and Aimpoint Acro.
  • 2BME plates: Trijicon RMR, Shield RMSc, Leupold DPP and Docter.
  • Toni System type F: Shield RMSc, Leupold DPP and Docter.
  • Toni System type G: Trijicon RMR and C-More RTS.

Note that Toni System uses different type letters on the APX plates. Always read the footprint list in the brackets.

If you have not chosen a red dot yet

On the 92X family and the APX, the factory plates cover five footprints. These are the Trijicon RMR, Leupold DPP, Docter, C-More RTS and Aimpoint Acro. The Shield RMSc footprint is only available on aftermarket plates from Toni System and 2BME. Red dots for compact pistols often use the RMSc footprint. Full-size red dots often use the RMR footprint. See Red dots.

Step by step

  1. Find your exact model, for example 92XI or APX A1 Compact.
  2. Find the plate family for that model in the list above.
  3. Find the footprint of your red dot.
  4. Choose the plate that names this footprint in its title.

Factory or aftermarket plate

Beretta makes its own plates in Italy from aluminium. Toni System, also in Italy, and 2BME in Poland make aftermarket plates from aluminium. The aftermarket plates add footprints that the factory range does not cover, such as the Shield RMSc. Both fit the factory optic cut in the same way.

Installation

Remove the factory cover plate from the optic cut. Screw the optic plate into its place, then screw the red dot onto the plate. No milling is needed and you can do it yourself. Threadlocker on the screws is recommended.

Related collections

Beretta pistols without an optic cut take a red dot mount instead. Examples are the classic 92, 96, 98 and PX4. The mount replaces the rear sight. See Red dot mounts for Beretta models. For iron sights, see Sights for Beretta models. For plates for other brands, see Optics ready plates.

Frequently asked questions

Can I install an optic plate on my Beretta at home?

Yes. You need no gunsmith and no milling.

  1. Remove the cover plate from the optic cut.
  2. Screw the optic plate into the cut.
  3. Screw the red dot onto the plate.

Put a drop of threadlocker on every screw.

Which red dots will fit my Beretta?

It depends on the plate you choose. Every plate takes one footprint or a group of footprints. For Beretta pistols we have plates for the Trijicon RMR, Shield RMSc, Holosun K-series, Leupold DPP, Docter, C-More RTS and Aimpoint Acro footprints.

Choose your red dot first and find its footprint in the specifications. Then take the plate with the same footprint.

Which plate fits my 92XI?

A plate for the 92X, 92XI, 92 GTS, 92X RDO and M9A4. One plate family fits all these models. Choose the one with the footprint of your red dot.

Does an M9A4 plate fit my APX A1?

No. The APX A1 and APX RDO have their own plates. Choose a plate with APX in its title.

I want a Shield RMSc red dot on my 92X. Which plate?

The Toni System type A plate. The factory Beretta plates for the 92X family do not take the RMSc footprint.
