Red dot mounts for Picatinny base

This collection contains red dot mounts for a Picatinny rail. They fit any gun with a Picatinny or Weaver rail, for example a rifle, a shotgun or a carbine. The mount sits on the rail and takes a red dot with the footprint named in its title.

Mounts at a glance

Three kinds of mounts

• Low mounts: from Holosun, Olight, C-More and Vector Optics. The red dot sits close to the rail.
• Mounts with a raiser: from Vector Optics and Olight, with a raiser of 19, 21, 28 or 32 mm. On a rifle, the raiser lifts the red dot to the line of your eye.
• QD mounts: from Contessa and Shield Sights. A quick detach lever lets you take the red dot off and put it back without tools.

Shield Sights also makes a mount with a thumb nut and a mount with triple height spacers for the Shield RMSc footprint.

Footprints

The mounts cover the Trijicon RMR, Shield RMSc, Leupold DPP, Docter, C-More RTS, Aimpoint Acro, Holosun 509T and Aimpoint Micro footprints. Choose the mount with the footprint of your red dot.

Installation

Put the mount on the rail, push it against the cross slot and tighten the screw, nut or lever. Screw the red dot onto the mount with a drop of threadlocker on each screw.

Frequently asked questions

Can I put a pistol red dot on my rifle?

Yes. Take a Picatinny mount with the footprint of your red dot. If the red dot sits too low for your eye, take a mount with a raiser.

Which raiser height do I need?

It depends on your rifle and your other sights. On an AR-15 style rifle, a higher raiser brings the red dot to the height of your eye.

Can I take the red dot off and keep the zero?

Take a QD mount from Contessa or Shield Sights. You remove it with the lever, without tools. Check your zero after you put it back.
